Helmut Marko: Max taught everyone a lesson in Miami

Red Bull motorsport consultant Helmut Marko commented on the results of the Miami Grand Prix, which ended with the Milton Keynes team’s fourth win of the season.

Q: How do you rate the performance of Max Verstappen in the race?
Helmut Marko: We saw Max at his best. Just a feast for the eyes, as he overtook Kevin Magnussen and Charles Leclerc.

Question: But overtaking partner Sergio Perez made you nervous?
Helmut Marko: The situation remained under control, although there was no need to fight like that. On the other hand, we allow our riders to fight if there is no danger behind one of the rivals, and I support this.

Helmut Marko: Exactly. Imagine if Max started from pole. We would then see a boring race.
