Health is not an excel, it is not a haircut

Doctor Ștefan Busnatu recounts on his Facebook page the fact that he was extremely angry at the hospital following a consultation with a patient, because he insisted on giving me “attention”.

“It’s not his fault, because the poor guy probably has this misconception that he has to give the doctor something to make sure he’s taken care of because of our system that has allowed too much pay and attention to medical staff for too long. My dears, stop practicing it! It is a phenomenon that I do not tolerate and that I consider morally degrading for a man who chose to dedicate his life to taking care of people’s health and who also took an oath for this when he completed the Faculty of Medicine – His Oath Hippocrates,” says the doctor.

The cardiologist says that human health represents “an act of humanity and bravery”.

“Human health is not an excel, it is not a haircut, it is not a faucet change on a broken radiator… human health represents an act of humanity and magnanimity done by a man whom I believe has a special purpose. Therefore, because I know that many of those who follow me are also my patients, please stop making such gestures that only offend me, and at the same time do not do it in other environments either because in this this way you will maintain the phenomenon and it will be difficult to reach a state of normality”, says the doctor.

Ștefan Busnatu is a cardiologist, doctor of medical sciences, vice-dean at the Faculty of Medicine – UMF “Carol Davila” and young ambassador of Romania on Cardiovascular Prevention from the European Association of Preventive Cardiology, member of the European Society of Cardiology. The medical activity is carried out in the “Bagdasar Arseni” Emergency Clinical Hospital, within the Cardiology Clinic, according to its website.
