Robber forgets prescription at pharmacy, arrested
According to what was communicated by the Arma, everything happened yesterday afternoon, Friday 2 December. The criminal entered the pharmacy with a black cap, dark glasses and a mask so as not to be recognized. After waiting for the queue of people to flow out, he presented himself at the counter handing over the prescription to distract the pharmacist. While the professional was intent on reading the prescription, the man pulled out a knife from her, threatening her. The pharmacist, in a panic, handed over the entire collection of the day up to that moment to the 57-year-old. The robber, once he pocketed the cash, fled, forgetting, however, the prescription given to the doctor shortly before. Once she left the shop, the pharmacist alerted the Carabinieri who rushed to the scene, collecting her testimony and that of the others present.
The prescription was in the wife’s name
The military then viewed the images recorded by the internal video surveillance cameras. Subsequently, they cross-referenced the sensitive data read on the forgotten medical prescription which turned out to be from the robber’s wife. Having ascertained the veracity of the registry, the carabinieri set out on the trail of the 57-year-old, found inside his home. Here, the military found the clothes used during the robbery and the knife with which the man threatened the pharmacist. The man, arrested, was accompanied to the San Vittore prison. The stolen goods were then returned to the pharmacy.
