Last week, 4iG announced that the company’s Board of Directors had decided on 17 December 2021 to issue additional bonds as a new tranche in the framework of the issuance of a series of bonds with a total nominal value of HUF 287.75 billion.

The bond auction took place today, as a result of which the second tranche of a ten-year series of bonds with a nominal interest rate of HUF 6.00 per annum, amortized from the end of the fifth year and a nominal value of HUF 50 million, was issued.

  • With an average yield of 6.2446%,
  • with a total nominal value of HUF 83 billion

It will be issued on December 29, 2021 by 4iG.

The funds raised total HUF 81.7 billion.

4iG intends to use the proceeds from the bond issue in connection with acquisitions.

The company has announced several acquisitions in recent months, most recently the acquisition of an Albanian telecommunications company, ONE Telecommunications. However, DIGI bought the biggest wall, the Hungarian operation was bought by 4iG for 625 million euros, ie more than 230 billion forints at the current exchange rate.

To the great surprise of market participants, the MNB announced in mid-December that the Growth Bond Program was coming to an end: the ongoing issuer negotiations are still being realized up to the HUF 1,550 billion limit of the bond program, but no further central bank purchases will take place thereafter. According to our market sources, about 40-50 domestic companies preparing to issue bonds may slip out of the Growth Bond Program (NCP) due to its sudden termination and the large-scale issues of almost HUF 500 billion in recent days.

The 4iG has fallen 1.3 percent today, up 31 percent this year.
