Hatrick, Bappenas Gives First Best Province Regional Development Award to Central Java

Suara.com – The Republic of Indonesia’s National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas), awarded Central Java Province as the First Best Province in the 2023 Regional Development Awards (PPD). Previously, Central Java was also the First Best Province for PPD in 2019 and 2020.

PPD’s achievements three times in a row also made Central Java score a hat trick as the First Best Province in PPD, for the category of planning and the best achievements at the provincial level.

The Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, said that the achievement of PPD 2023 for Central Java demonstrated the success of the Central Java Provincial Government in carrying out its governance functions, especially the success of bureaucratic reform.

“I am happy, I am proud because several awards have been given in so many years, it shows an indication that our bureaucratic reform is progressing, this is an indication that ASN colleagues are improving themselves, innovating and then showing their best performance,” said Ganjar, written on Wednesday (17/5 /2023).

The indicators determined by Bappenas for regions receiving PPD include preparation of local government work plans (RKPD), quality of RKPD documents, regional development achievements (regional targets, progress and equivalent areas) and development innovations.

Bappenas also conducts 3 stages of assessment before determining the best region, namely the RKPD document assessment stage, the presentation and interview stage, and finally the verification stage.

Based on this, Central Java has better human development index (HDI) results through regional policies on broad education delivery, health development and the quality of women’s and children’s development.

Central Java is also considered to have a comprehensive and consistent RKPD, between evaluations and strategic issues that occur in 35 regencies and cities in Central Java.

“What is more substantive then let’s show all the awards in a more concrete form. Public complaints are responded to more quickly and the quality is improved,” said Ganjar.

Furthermore, the Republic of Indonesia Bappenas also gave a special award to the Provincial Government of Central Java. Because under the leadership of Ganjar Pranowo, Central Java was recognized as the Province that Initiated the Initial Initiation for a Circular Economy.

This special award was given to the Provincial Government of Central Java, inseparable from the seriousness of Ganjar and all of his staff for their commitment to developing the application of new renewable energy or EBT.

This can be seen from the large number of energy independent villages (DME) in Central Java, which currently has 2,353 DME. These DMEs consist of 2,167 initiative DMEs, 160 developing DMEs and 26 established DMEs.

Ganjar also gave appreciation to all of his staff for the best abilities that had been given, so that the achievements achieved were directly proportional to the performance of the Central Java government.

“I would like to thank you and with this award, don’t be complacent. Keep on serving the best, it’s getting better, more systematic, and maybe machines and equipment can be used to speed up complaints much quicker,” said Ganjar.

For information, Bappenas RI also named Temanggung Regency as the First Best Regency in the category of District Level Planning and Achievement. In addition, the City of Semarang also won an award from a similar category at the City level.
