Hanwha’s key prospect Choi In-ho decided to enlist “I will grow up and return”

In-ho Choi (21), a rookie outfielder of the professional baseball Hanwha Eagles, is one of the club’s biggest prospects.

Last season, in 35 Futures League games, he showed a good batting feeling of 0.389.

As he has not yet had much experience, there are parts that are lacking in water fights and defense, but his batting skills are evaluated as the best among his peers.

Choi In-ho debuted in the first team through a match against the Lotte Giants held at the Sajik Stadium in Busan on June 9 last year, and in that match, he also drew attention by recording two hits in five at-bats.

Hanwha, who declared the rebuilding, announced that it would actively appoint a new season’s prospects, and many major outfielders such as Lee Yong-gyu, Choi Jin-haeng, Kim Mun-ho, Yang Yang-woo (above release), and Jang Jin-hyuk (enlisted) have fallen out of their power.

Hanwha selected a foreign player as the infielder (Lion Healey), and in the free agent (FA) market, outfielder Soo-bin Sue-bin was not caught, resulting in a sharp decline in outfield power.

For Choi In-ho, it was a great opportunity to grow while seizing the opportunity to participate in many first-team matches.

However, Choi In-ho’s choice was to enlist. He recently submitted an enlistment application to the vice president and recently passed the first document screening.

Choi In-ho said in a call on the 12th, “The club recommended that you go to the army quickly,” he said. “Many seniors left the team, but there are still many competitors. We decided that it would be better to improve our skills and come back in the business.”

He said, “Of course, there are some regrets,” he said. “I have been fond of Christian Yelich (Milwaukee Brewers) since I was a kid, but it’s a pity that I couldn’t exercise under coach Subero, who coached in Milwaukee.”

However, Choi In-ho’s enlistment as managing director has not been confirmed. You must pass the final pass through physical fitness measurement, physical/personality test, and interview.

Choi In-ho said, “If the enlistment as a managing director is lost, we will return to the club and play the new season.

Meanwhile, in addition to Choi In-ho, Hanwha’s outfield prospect Yoo Jang-hyuk (21) and infield prospect Jo Han-min (21) wrote applications for enlistment as managing director.
