Örnsköldsviksbolaget Hägglunds lands a new billion order. This means that the company must recruit a lot.
The defense industry company Hägglunds has signed a new agreement worth SEK 5 billion with the Netherlands on upgrading 122 armored vehicles with a new tower system. This means that Örnsköldsviksbolaget has now received assignments worth around ten billion kronor within a few months, writes Dagens industri. In November, an agreement was concluded with Switzerland on a lifetime extension of 186 vehicles of the CV90 model, a contract which, according to Di’s sources, is worth close to SEK 5 billion.
The assignments mean that Hägglunds now needs more staff.
– We will increase by about 150 of our own employees before 2021 expires and in addition by about 100 consultants, says the company’s CEO Tommy Gustafsson-Ras to Di.
Hägglunds is part of the listed international defense group BAE Systems. Another Swedish branch is Bofors.
