Rajiv Bansal is also currently the Chairman and Managing Director of Air India. According to him, the process of disinvestment of Air India is now in its final stage. Air India’s letter of intent has already been issued to the Tata Group and now only the necessary revenue and capital expenditure process is pending.

Tata Group’s new plan for Air India

After the acquisition of Air India by the Tata Group, the work of preparing a new plan for it has started. The Tata Group plans to create a new business vertical to on-board Air India as well as all its holdings in the airline business. The new business vertical will take Tata Group’s interest in Air India Express and AISATS. Along with this, a plan will also be made to strengthen Air India keeping in mind the travel and tourism.
