Google updates Workspace apps with “Material You”

Google has started updating its Workspace apps with the design language “Material You”, starting yesterday. Updates include Gmail, Google Meet, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Calendar.

The company illustrates the difference between the previous design and the new one in screenshots. The new design language has, among other things, more rounded corners for objects, as well as new colors that are taken from the home screen’s wallpaper.

The calendar will not receive support for “Material You” until September 20.
