Soya oil sold down to Rs 1155
Indore. With the weak demand, the fall in palm oil and the government’s strictness led to the fall in the prices of soya oil. Soya oil was sold at Rs 1155 per 10 kg in Looz. Messianic palm oil futures fell to a nearly one-month low for a third straight session on Friday as fresh Covid-19 restrictions raised concerns over demand for palm, crude and other commodities in top buyer China. Fall in pulses continues due to weak subscription
Indore. Chana, tuvar and urad as well as lentils of Canada and Australia weakened due to weak spot at pulse mills. Retail as well as wholesale demand for pulses is weak, due to which millers are buying only as per requirement. The prices of Turmeric imported from African countries are cheap, and imports from African countries are expected to increase in the coming days. However, the selling of good quality tur in the domestic market is weak because its sowing in the current season is less than last year. Secondly, with many states of the country becoming drought-like, there is a fear of crop failure due to excessive rains in the states of Central and South India. Therefore, limited uptrend in Tur prices is expected to remain bearish.
The arrival of the new crop of urad will increase in the mandis of Maharashtra and Karnataka next month, which is expected to bring down its prices. Lentils imported from Canada and Australia are cheap due to their low prices in the domestic market. It is believed that the prices will stop after a slowdown of Rs 100 to 150 in the current prices.
New moong arrival in Bhikangaon
40 sacks of new moong arrived in Bhikangaon, which were sold at a price of Rs 6711 per quintal. Traders say that the arrival of new moong has started in the producing mandis and if the weather is favorable then the arrival of moong will increase next month. Subscription in moong dal is weaker than normal, so its prices are expected to fall in the coming days. There has been a fall in the price of gram due to government strategies. There has been a record production of gram in the country in the current season. There is an outstanding stock of gram of about 30.55 lakh tonnes in the central pool, which is more than the prescribed norms buffer stock. Chana prices have already remained below the minimum support price, MSP in the producer mandis, and with this decision of the central government, prices are expected to fall further.
