GMF and Citilink Complete the Recommendation of the Directorate General of Hubud – PT Garuda Maintenance Facility Aero Asia Tbk (GMF) and PT Citilink Indonesia (Citilink) ensure that all recommendations from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (Ditjen Hubud) cq the Directorate of Airworthiness and Aircraft Operations (DKPPU) which were submitted in a letter released on 22 December, have been completed follow up. These recommendations can be completed through synergy and intensive coordination of the relevant parties.

GMF President Director Andi Fahrurrozi said that his party had carried out a number of corrective steps after GMF investigated and identified factors that contributed to the hold item list (HIL) status on the brake 19 aircraft belonging to Citilink which were operated on December 1-17, 2021.

These corrective measures include replacing brakes, evaluating HIL, increasing supervision, and improving the management of components and spare parts.

“From a total of 19 aircraft, GMF has replaced brakes for 18 Citilink aircraft that are currently operating. GMF ensures that the brake replacement for one Citilink aircraft which is currently undergoing a c-check at the GMF hangar will be carried out before the aircraft resumes operations,” Andi explained, Saturday (1/1/2022).

Remedial steps have also been taken to ensure the readiness of the needs for components and spare parts during the pandemic. This is realized through improvements in planning aspects, as well as renegotiations with suppliers to support the supply and delivery of spare parts.

Furthermore, GMF also said that it was forming a special team to monitor and complete HIL in accordance with applicable procedures. All audit findings stated in the letter have also been completed.

President Director of Citilink Juliandra also stated that Citilink continues to coordinate intensively with GMF to ensure that all recommendations from the Directorate General of Hubud have been followed up properly.

“We are committed to always prioritizing aspects of safety and security in flight, including complying with flight safety standards set by regulators and aircraft manufacturers,” said Juliandra.

Juliandra ensures that all Citilink aircraft operating are in a safe and airworthy condition according to applicable regulations so that passengers can travel safely and comfortably when flying with Citilink.
