Galaxy S21, S21 + and Galaxy S21 Ultra in Russia: prices, equipment, gifts

Samsung has unveiled three flagship smartphones in the Galaxy S21 series. They will appear in Russia soon.

• Galaxy S21 Ultra (12 + 256 ГБ) — 114 990 р.

• Galaxy S21 Ultra (16 + 512 ГБ) — 127 990 р.

Under the trade-in program, when you hand over your old smartphone, you can get an additional benefit of up to 58,600 rubles, depending on the model.

From January 14 to February 4 at Samsung online store, as well as brand partners open pre-orders for new smartphones. Customers who pre-order during this period will receive Galaxy Buds Live wireless headphones (which cost separately $ 17,990) and a Galaxy SmartTag Bluetooth tag.

The Galaxy S21, S21 + and Galaxy S21 Ultra only include a USB cable and a needle to eject the tray. There is no charger or headphones.

How Samsung justified the lack of a charging adapter:

We’ve found that more and more Galaxy users are reusing their existing accessories. So we’re moving on to removing the charger plug and earbuds from our latest line of Galaxy smartphones – starting in select countries. In Russia, the plug and headphones are not included in the package.

We believe that gradually removing the charger plug and earbuds from the packaging that came with the device can help relieve the pressure consumers can feel about constantly getting new chargers and accessories every time they buy a new phone. It is important to note that we have been using a standardized charging port (USB-C type) since 2017, so older chargers are still compatible with our latest Galaxy devices. A USB-C cable is included. In addition, we found that 25% of consumers prefer to charge their devices using wireless charging stations.

Samsung is working on a global move away from removing the charger plug and earbuds from Galaxy smartphones starting with the Galaxy S21. The Galaxy S21 and other Galaxy smartphones will still include a cable to connect the smartphone to the existing charger plug.
