IFA round-up: Friday September 2nd

Jabra Elite 5: Affordable earbuds with ANC

The latest Jabra earbuds are the Elite 5. You can connect them with Bluetooth to your smartphone, tablet, laptop or other device. There is active noise suppression, which completely filters out ambient noise. This way you can optimally enjoy your favorite music or you can concentrate extra while working.

The caps contain a battery that allows you to play music for up to seven hours with ANC on. You can also fully charge them up to three times thanks to the battery in the charging box. You can operate it easily and quickly via your connected device or the caps themselves. Thanks to voice commands, you can also get started with Google Assistant or Alexa.

Calling is of course no problem at all and there is integration with Spotify. Finally, you can connect them to two devices at the same time and they can withstand some dust and water thanks to the IP55 certification. The caps are available in black and gold and have a suggested retail price of 149 euro.

Honor presents new smartphones and tablets

Honor is also present and presented a lot of new devices, including two smartphones. The Honor 70 5G offers a range of interesting specifications and features. The display is 6.78 inches in size, has an AMOLED panel, rounded screen edges and a refresh rate of 120Hz.

The Snapdragon 778 Plus is the beating heart, offers 5G support and comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. On the back you will find three cameras, including the primary with a resolution of 54 megapixels. Wide angle photos and close-upYou can make s of a maximum of 50 megapixels and there is still a depth sensor present. The device runs on Android 12, has a 4800 mAh battery and can be charged with a maximum of 66 Watts. The Honor X8 5G is a lot more affordable at 270 euros, but also has lesser specifications. For example, there is a 6.5-inch LCD screen that refreshes 60 times per second. There is 6GB of RAM, assisted by the Snapdragon 480 chip and 128GB of internal storage. You can take normal photos with the 48-megapixel main camera.

On the front you will find another 8 megapixel camera hidden in a drip notch. The device still runs on Android 11 and comes with a battery of 5000 mAh. On the side you will find the physical fingerprint scanner and a headphone jack is also still on board.

Honor Pad 8 a Pad X8 Lite

Finally, two new tablets have been presented. It concerns the Honor Pad 8 and Pad X8 Lite. The Pad 8 has a 12-inch display with a 2k resolution and the beating heart is the Snapdragon 680 processor. The chip is assisted by 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

The battery has a capacity of 7250 mAh and charges with a maximum of 22.5 Watts. The tablet runs on Android 12 with its own Magic UI 6.1 shell. This way you can easily and quickly exchange files between smartphones and this tablet, provided they are from Honor.

The Pad X8 Lite is a cheaper device and it comes with a 9.7-inch screen with a resolution of 1280 by 800 pixels. A MediaTek chip, 3 or 4GB RAM has been chosen and the battery is 5100 mAh.

Charging is done with a maximum of 10 Watts. The Lite tablet is equipped with a headphone jack, USB-C port and two speakers. Information about the specific release and pricing, however, is still unknown.
