(G) I-DLE continues to focus | daily Metro

AFTER launching their hit song DUMDi DUMDi in August last year, the progress of group (G) I-DLE is clearly accelerating.

Most recently they released this album entitled ‘I burn’.

Apparently, the group from South Korea made up of Miyeon, Minnie, Soojin, Soyeon, Yuqi and Shuhua did not want to waste even a moment to conquer the world with their music.

Despite the alleged Covid-19 pandemic, it did not directly block their artistic agenda.

Through a press conference and virtual presentation last Monday, their communication skills also matured when talking about the performer side of each member.

Very significantly, the spirit of the group is indeed burning especially touching on the quality of the work.

Its chief Soyeon said he did not deny the music transition in them was very fast. Although known for their meticulousness in setting different concepts, now their focus is on conveying certain sentiments.

“We are singers and we also write works of music. All the members of our group are artists. So, instead of focusing on the concept, we want to shift our attention to the delivery of sentiments.

“Even though we are an international group, we share the same emotions about parting. So, we hope to share such emotions as a novel to the listeners,” he said.

However, Soyeon did not deny that at first they were a bit worried when it came to expressing sentiment through the idea called ‘han’.

‘Han’ is a well-known phrase in South Korea that revolves around emotions triggered by hatred and resentment.

“I am worried about how to explain that sentiment to our members who are from outside South Korea. However, the root of the emotions we share is the same after living together for a long time.

“We are also very happy to be able to work with empathy. Therefore, we hope the listeners will also be able to deepen, listen and enjoy our music,” he said.

Consistent with the current situation that does not allow movement, (G) I-DLE remains passionate about the movement to promote the new album.

In fact, they aim to conquer the famous music charts.

“Of course, we do not have the opportunity to meet the fans at this time. We really miss them as much as we miss them. So, we are always looking for ways to interact with them.

“At the same time, we are also very excited to promote our new song. Our mission is to rank first in the digital music charts.

We welcome to be praised for our hard work, “he said.

Sharing more about ‘I burn’, Minnie is very grateful for the dream to produce the album wholeheartedly. What’s more, their fans called Neverland are really looking forward to the new work from (G) I-DLE.

Even sweeter, he himself can contribute the lyrics of his song to be included in the album. For that, he admits the overall production of the album means a lot to him personally.

“It’s been a long time since my song was included in the Korean-language I-DLE (G) album. I feel very proud and too excited for this. I always make music but to be included in an album is not an easy task.

“I am honored to finally be able to share my music to the long-awaited Neverland. I will not stop producing more songs to be heard by them all in the future,” he said.

(G) I-DLE was established in 2018 and is under the auspices of recording company Cube Entertainment. The group began to get attention through their introductory single titled Latata, thus gathering their own fans.

Since its introduction, this collection has been very consistent in its work. They never fail to deliver a song whenever enthusiasts crave for it and the work performed never disappoints.

Touching on that, Soyeon said, the pattern of such work is not because they are depressed by the demands of the fans, instead it is a sign of their dedication to the fans besides wanting to always make everyone happy.

“Instead of feeling depressed, we are actually very grateful for the unceasing love given all including for our music.

“Although we can not meet at this time, we try our best to interact with them virtually,” he said.

They are also determined to continue to show a quality side in order to strengthen the fans’ trust in them.

Even though they are only a year old, corn does not mean that they are not as great.

Their main mission is to make the strongest name in the history of world music as any other country group.

Similarly from a personal point of view, its members want to show their families that their struggles are not in vain.

“Some of us want to dedicate ourselves to make both parents proud. Not to be outdone, we will still prove how serious we are in producing high quality music,” he said.
