Funk Shui, Ego and Short Reports soon in Banovina

Makedonski free flow bend Funk Shui will hold its first concert in Niche in the Courtyard of the University (Banovina), September 25 from 8 p.m. They will be joined on stage by the indie duo Short Reports from Novi Sad as well as the hosts from Nis, the alternative band Ego.

Funk Shui is a trio from Skopje, formed in 2010. They have two releases behind them – albums “Aether” from 2012 and “REM” from 2015. In addition to energetic performances and authentic sound, the audience has recently been known for the hits “Meteors” (the best single in 2020 according to the readers of the Balkanrock portal), “Wind” and “No Time” as well as the original videos that accompany them.

Rock duo Short Reports was created in 2019 in Novi Sad. Their music is characterized by a minimalist approach to rhythm and an expressive approach to melodies and lyrics. They have several performances behind them, as well as their debut album “Cats VS Dogs”, which was released in 2020. The singles “Connection” and “Bad Side” stood out from it.

Ego, an alternative rock band from Nis, was formed in 2009 and the band has been playing in a new line-up since 2019. They are characterized by an energetic and melodic, occasionally melancholic sound. They recently released their first single “Hypnotech” from their upcoming album “Mechanisms” which is expected at the end of the year. Their new single is also expected soon.
