French man found unconscious after paragliding accident in Vila do Bispo
A 74-year-old man of French nationality suffered an accidental fall while paragliding on Cordoama beach, in Vila do Bispo, and became unconscious.
After the Lisbon Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center (MRCC Lisbon) received the alert at 1:50 pm, elements of the Local Command of the Maritime Police of Lagos were activated for the location, indicated the National Maritime Authority (AMN), this second Thursday, in a statement.
Then, elements of the Vila do Bispo Firefighters and a team from the INEM also arrived on the ground, who found the victim unconscious, having “recovered his senses after being stabilized” by these elements. The man was removed from the sand with the support of the Maritime Police and transported by an INEM helicopter to Faro Hospital.
