There is one very uncomfortable feature in the Telegram app for Android. When you enter the first letters of the text or emoticon, the file attachment icon disappears. Because of this, most users have to first select the file that they want to send, or erase the entered message so that the icon appears. We found a convenient way that duplicates the functionality of the “paper clip”.
Instead of erasing the entered message, simply click on the three dots in the upper right corner of the screen. Immediately after that, the file attachment menu will open.
This menu appears only when a message is entered in the text box. In normal mode, a button with three dots reveals the usual chat options, such as “Search”, “Report”, “Clear history”, “Turn off notifications” and “Delete and leave chat”.
