Fonollosa: “The big difference with the other proposals is our credibility”

Together for Martorell has carried out two new electoral campaign events this Sunday. The first took place at noon in Pere Teixiné square, where the candidate, Xavier Fonollosa, Rosa Cadenas, Belén Leiva, Georgina Colorado, Eloi Estopiñà and Alfonso Peñalba took part. In the afternoon, they moved to Plaça de Pompeu Fabra, where the mayor, Soledad Rosende and Àngels Sória spoke.

In Pere Teixiné, candidate Fonollosa has emphasized the importance of credibility, remarking that Junts per Martorell has the necessary experience and can “show an impeccable service record and a work of government done and palpable. Not only from an urban point of view, but also from the cultural, sporting and associative side”.

We used to have a national road with four lanes that crossed all of Martorell and 40,000 cars passed through it. It was an insurmountable barrier. They wouldn’t let me go down the Wall because there were too many cars and now that doesn’t happen.”

In addition, the mayor emphasized his door-to-door work: “These days I have visited more than 10,000 homes. From this neighborhood, for example, I’ve been to all of them. No one else in the county does this, but I like to do it. I always end up asking if they are happy with the town and many people tell us that they are”.

Rosa Cadenas wanted to emphasize that “every vote is very important to continue working on the 250 commitments that we present to you. We have an unbeatable team of people and a fighter, tireless and committed candidate, which is why we have the perfect formula to continue being proud of our town and to do more Martorell”.

Belén Leiva has announced that he will step aside from the active management of Martorell, but has acknowledged that he will vote for Fonollosa because he wants a town where his son “grows up happy, a nice town to live in, to play, to walk, where listen to children before they are adults. You won’t find anyone else like Xavier who likes listening to boys and girls more.”

Eloi Estopiñà, on the other hand, wanted to “highlight” the work done by the different teachers. In fact, he spoke of Pere Teixiné, a teacher who worked in the town for two decades.

Georgina Colorado has highlighted that “there are specific projects that have been done with people from various fields, designed for the good of Martorell. Together we must guarantee the progress and improvement of our town. If we want a strong, advanced Martorell that doesn’t stop to keep growing, we have to support Xavier Fonollosa, the only one capable of ensuring this”.

Alfonso Peñalba said that four years ago he voted for Fonollosa and his team “and I was not wrong. You only have to see how the town has progressed in every way. For this reason I am again part of this great team, so that everything does not end here”.

At the meeting in Plaça de Pompeu Fabra, Fonollosa explained the importance of the remodeling of Martorell and the improvement of the infrastructures in order to achieve progress in terms of social cohesion: “We have recently finished Carrer de Bonaventura Pedemonte, we have reformed Paseo de Catalunya, we have rehabilitated all the facades of the multi-family buildings and insisted on installing elevators in all the blocks, to make Buenos Aires an accessible and cohesive neighborhood.”

Soledad Rosende wanted to highlight the work done in health and education, thus highlighting the ‘Martorell educa 360’ project, which is “a free, universal and inclusive educational program, which aims to ensure that no boy or girl from Martorell remains no extracurricular activities. In addition, he also spoke about the ‘Play at school’ project, in which schools have been opened on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings, with educational and fun activities for families.
