Five year-end Friday links

What luck. The last day of the year falls on a Friday, and as you know, this means five Friday links from Nettips.dk. So far, it has blared sensibly out there, but that is probably due to bad weather today. Here in Svendborg it is raining. Wet gunpowder equals dirty gunpowder equals incompetent gunpowder. But it’s good for our labrador.

He does not like fireworks. In fact, I’m pretty sure that if one day he becomes dog minister, all fireworks will be banned in Denmark. It sounds so horrible – think that you still bother to fire witch howls – it is dangerous and then a cave a lot of money just smells up in the sky. The dog minister is banning fireworks and that will make the health minister happy. And maybe the tax minister.

But ok, it comes as no surprise that it rumbles out there once in a while. We’ve tried it before. Year after year, Danes make a pilgrimage to outlets, where they haul rockets, witch howls, batteries, bomb tubes, fountains and all sorts of horrible things back home. Or where they should now be on New Year’s Eve.

I’m an Aldist

I come almost straight from Aldi. I’m an Aldist. There I could see one family after another designate fireworks, which were then picked up inside the warehouse. I did not see what the individual families paid for it, but I guess they could have gotten a lot of toilet paper, orange juice, minced ham and pesto for the money. Instead, they haul gunpowder home.

They probably also bought safety goggles. It’s not for kids all this shooting. The names of the gunpowder alone signal a minor civil war. Batteries and bomb tubes. Thank you fate. The wildest thing we have here in the house are some sparklers. Not even a table bomb is found on the land register. But we have beer, wine, booze and fun. I guess it’s also a kind of gunpowder.

Well, no more talking about gunpowder and hello. It’s Friday, it’s December 31st, it’s the last day of the year, and I wish everyone a Happy New Year. I hope everyone gets safely into 2022. Beware out there.

And then to our Friday links, which today are about help with your appointments and your finances. There are also fif for a free start menu program, help for domains as well abuse of a current Danish domain.

https://host.io: Do you need information about a specific domain on the web? So try this excellent service.

https://easyappointments.org: This is about your appointments. Create a good overview via this open source service.

https://kmymoney.org: KMyMoney is also open source. Here you get (maybe) help to create a better overview of your finances. Can be downloaded for Windows, Linux and MacOS.

https://www.startmenux.com/da: Here is help for people who want to customize their start menu in Windows. Thanks to Affi in the forum for a strong tip.

https: //www.nytårsaften.dk: Here I thought I was going to have a proper bang, and then there is a measly marketing agency that has acquired the domain.
