Five returned Friday links

18 months! This is the period in which we have lived through the corona and its aftermath. The fear. The anxiety. Irritations. Restrictions. It has certainly not been easy, but now we can finally start looking over at the other side of the overbearing virus.

There are many opinions about the way in which the situation has been approached here in Denmark. Other countries have approached it differently, and I am not inside the masses enough to assess who has done it right and who has misjudged.

It is no secret, however, that I had not in my wildest imagination imagined that we should live so long with restrictions. The virus is not disappearing and we must continue to be vigilant. Hand alcohol and common sense. It follows. But 18 months. It’s crazy.

When Mette Frederiksen chose to partially close the country down for the first time, I thought in my naivety that there would be a short-term closure until things got under control. Then terrible TV pictures appeared from Italy and the newspapers had stories where one was worse than the other.

Chaos in hospitals

The situation was serious, and at home we were quick to take action. Chaos in the hospitals would be a catastrophic status for Denmark, and therefore partial shutdowns were a necessity. And it continued for a space of time. So finally in mid-2020, a possible vaccine was brought to light. Again in my naivety, I thought we could have a vaccine ready in the fall of 2020.

That’s not how it went. But better late than never. Many Danes have said yes to the vaccine, and the third roll is on its way to vulnerable citizens. Good for that. Someone has said no to the vaccine, and they are allowed to do so. I just resent yellow and green if the situation eats up again because new mutations can grow big when vaccinated mix with non-vaccinated.

Let’s get over to the other side together. Safe and sound. It’s Friday and we have to link together on Friday. Today it’s about dance, tennis, webshops, brands and geeks. Then it is tonight that many Danes sit in front of the television to watch Wild with dance. I think I drink a beer instead. Here is the Indian version of the great webshop platform, Banggood. There should be a danger of buying the cat in the sack there, so be careful. In addition, it is a matter of blocking this website for Danish consumers. Is it OK? We’re approaching the finals of the US Open tennis tournament. Here awaits 2 excited female teenagers in the women’s singles final. Another copy saw. Ingenious Danish Rains has been copied by a foreign mastdont. And the Rains have been given a replacement. Lots of posts about this and that. Tech. Entertainment. Science.
