Suara.com – Goalkeeper Fitrul Dwi Rustapa said that he couldn’t wait to undergo training with Persib Bandung in the 2023/24 Indonesia League 1 competition.
Quoted by ANTARA from the club’s official website, Monday (22/5/2023), Fitrul explained that he had made good use of the holiday period given by Persib Bandung.
“Last vacation I was in Ciloa’s hometown, Bungbulang, Garut. Previously, I worked for a full year, with a busy schedule. So, I needed to refresh and disconnect from playing football. Now, I’m starting to return,” said Fitrul.
Feeling that he had enjoyed the holiday enough, Fitrul decided to return to Bandung earlier in order to prepare himself for the first training with Persib which is planned to be held on June 5, 2023.

“Incidentally, the holidays are over. I returned to Bandung early, yes, of course, because I wanted to maintain my condition and prepare earlier before the training session later,” said Fitrul.
Fitrul looks optimistically at the 2023/24 Indonesian League 1 competition and hopes to get the opportunity to play compared to the previous season.
The 27-year-old player will be in his second season with Persib Bandung after previously being brought in from Persipura Jayapura ahead of the start of the 2022/2023 Indonesian League 1 season.
Last season, the Garut-born player only made two appearances for the Maung Bandung Team with a total of 180 minutes played.
Fitrul certainly needs to work harder in order to get playing minutes in next season’s competition because he has to compete with other Persib Bandung goalkeepers, namely Teja Paku Alam, Reky Rahayu and Satrio Azhar.
