Fisherman rescued 18 kilometers from Funchal with a deep wound in his arm

A 48-year-old fisherman was rescued, this Monday afternoon, aboard the fishing vessel “Porto Franco”, operating 18 kilometers south of Funchal, by crew from the Lifeguard Station in Funchal, according to a Funchal Maritime Police.
The alert for the incident was given at 16:39.
The man had a deep cut on an upper limb.
The boat arrived at Funchal Marina at 6:09 pm, and an ambulance from the Funchal Sapadores Firefighters was at the scene, which transported the victim to Dr. Nélio Mendonça, in Funchal.
