First images of the upcoming GTX performance version of the VW ID.7 electric


Three weeks ago, Volkswagen presented the new ID.7 as a fully electric sedan in the upper middle class. The electric replacement for the VW Passat will soon receive a GTX performance version, however.

Equipped with the latest generation of ID powertrains, a dual-motor all-wheel drive system and a number of sporty design elements, the GTX version promises to impress. The launch of the new GTX model is planned for the IAA Mobility event in Munich, held from September 5 to 10, 2023.

Also on the inside, details such as contrasting GTX red stitching on the seats and doors underline the model’s sporty character.

ID.7, the model with the most autonomy in the Volkswagen range

First presented in April at the Shanghai Auto Show, the new ID.7 immediately attracted attention. Technical capabilities aside, the ID.7 proves to be the model with the most autonomy in the entire range of the German manufacturer. More precisely, we are talking about an autonomy of 700 kilometers, obtained with the help of a state-of-the-art battery.

The new ID.7 will be assembled in the factory Volkswagen of Emden, Germany, with models produced there destined for markets in Europe and the United States. The release of orders for the ID.7 is scheduled for the fall of this year.
