DAPURPACU – PT Sokonindo Automobile again recorded positive achievements during the 2023 Periklindo Electric Vehicle Show (PEVS) last week.
The presence of DFSK Gelora E as the first electric-based light commercial vehicle in Indonesia managed to obtain 150 Vehicle Orders (SPK) during the exhibition.
Of these, the Minibus model dominated orders from visitors with 80 units, while the Blind Van type recorded 70 SPK units.
Marketing Head of PT Sokonindo Automobile, Achmad Rofiqi claims that consumer acceptance of this superior product is because it has been produced at the DFSK Cikande factory, Serang, Banten.
With the local production of Gelora E, the official price tag is now more affordable for potential customers, who are businessmen in Indonesia.
Not only that, DFSK immediately received a positive reception by presenting the Seres E1 for the first time, as the first passenger electric vehicle that will be coming soon to Indonesia.
As is known, PT Sokonindo Automobile has officially brought in a new brand, namely Seres, to accompany the DFSK brand which is better known in the Indonesian automotive market.
Later, field mapping will be carried out by Sokonindo where the DFSK brand will oversee all conventional engine commercial vehicle products, including EV vehicles.
Meanwhile, the Seres brand specifically sells a series of passenger electric vehicles for the future. And Seres E1 is scheduled to enter the production line at the Cikande factory soon.
Rofiqi admitted that both Seres and DFSK managed to get a very positive response and welcome from PEVS 2023 visitors and their potential customers.
Seres E1 itself has recorded 55 potential customers who have made reservations. The Sokonindo Automobile team also noted that there were 1,100 people who showed interest in the Seres E1 electric car and became hot prospects for this electric car with a compact body.
“We believe electric vehicles are a mobility solution in the future, and their ecosystem in Indonesia will continue to grow along with readiness from all aspects,” said Rofiqi.
He explained that all the data that had been collected could be a good first step for Seres to enter the national automotive market.
This is evidenced by the presence of the Seres booth at PEVS 2023 which managed to attract consumers’ attention and interest in the electric vehicle being displayed, namely the Seres E1.
“All of this then becomes our passion in presenting efficient, effective and environmentally friendly mobility solutions for the people of Indonesia,” concluded Rofiqi. [dp/TH]
