The capital’s official Easter fair – “Traditions and Festive Flowers”, the 11th edition, will be organized, between April 7 and 17, on the main avenues of King Mihai I Park, between the Charles de Gaulle entrance and Expo Flora.
According to a press release from the organizers, sent on Friday, the event aims to capitalize on popular art and traditions, gathering producers and craftsmen from all corners of the country, who use Romanian work techniques and recipes inherited from the family.
“Every day, between 10:00 and 21:00, visitors will be able to discover, at the more than 75 booths within the event, handicrafts and culinary products. During the fair, the public will find hundreds of traditional products, such as painted and traditionally decorated eggs, ii, painted icons, leather, ceramic, glass and wood items, accessories and jewelry and decorations for the Easter table, muffins, homemade cakes, pasture, bee products, jams and zacusti”, states the cited source.
Also, for eleven days, the public will be able to participate in demonstrations of dyeing Easter eggs and making objects and decorations from fluff or woodworking, carried out by folk craftsmen.
Children are welcome at the creative workshops, to make themed decorations.
The entry is free.
The official Easter Fair of the Capital is organized by the General City Hall, through CREART – the Center for Creation, Art and Tradition of the Municipality of Bucharest.
