Russian figure skater Stanislava Konstantinova decided to leave the academy of two-time Olympic champion Evgeni Plushenko.
Konstantinova’s decision became known from the Instagram correspondence of the team of coach Alexander Volkov. During the conversation, the representative of volkov_iceteam replied that the athlete had left the group.
“Stanislava left our team. She left the academy. We are sorry, we wish her success,” the message says.
Later in a conversation with a reporter Sport24 this news was confirmed by the athlete herself, who announced that she had decided to leave the Plushenko Angels because of organizational issues. “I will continue training and performing. I hope that everything will work out and it will be interesting. As for where I will train next, I can’t say anything yet,” said Konstantinova.
This athlete moved to the Plushenko Academy in February last year. It also became known about the departure of another athlete – Ekaterina Ryabova, who plays for Azerbaijan.
