The car manufacturer Fiat is expanding its model range of passenger electric cars, which so far consists only of the 500 model, somewhat surprisingly downwards.
She presented the design of a new car with the historical name Topolino. But it is not a product of its development, in fact it is a minivan that travels around the world with the name Citroën Ami, or Opel Rocks. Although Fiat has not yet officially announced it, it should also have the same technical parameters. That is, a battery with a capacity of 5.5 kWh, which powers an electric motor with an output of eight horsepower. It can travel 75 kilometers on a single charge at a maximum speed of 45 kilometers per hour. Thanks to such a weak engine and low maximum speed, it can be driven by drivers as young as sixteen.
The dimensions should also be the same as those of the Citroën Ami, except for a few millimeters. It measures 2400 millimeters in length, 1390 millimeters in width and 1520 millimeters in height.
The design of the front part clearly refers to the style of the Fiat car company. The folding canvas roof is also reminiscent of the original Topolino. Getting into the interior, which contains two seats, will be really easy thanks to the missing door. What the rear and interior look like is still shrouded in mystery. Fiat has published only one photo of the new Topolino.
The Topolino model was produced by the Italian brand between 1936. Even then it was a small car intended for heavy traffic in big cities.
