Fiat Panda (2020): micro-hybrid engine, the price

Electrification continues within the Fiat range. While the new 500 is now offered in 100% electric, the Panda in turn converts to electricity fairy by adopting Mild Hybrid technology (micro-hybridization or light hybridization), as was the case with the 500 and the adventurer Panda City Cross at the start of the year.

Again, we find the three-cylinder FireFly 1L petrol engine of 70 hp which is associated with an alternator-starter, itself powered by an 11 Ah lithium battery. All with a new 6-speed manual gearbox.

The alternator-starter “recovers energy during braking and deceleration, stores it in the battery (…), and uses it, at a power of 3.6 kW, to restart the engine in Stop mode & Start and assist the heat engine in the acceleration phase. “Explains Fiat in a press release.

Thanks to this technology, the Italian manufacturer announces a 20% reduction in CO2 emissions compared to the previous 4-cylinder 1.2L of 69 hp, “while ensuring the same performance,” says Fiat.

From € 12,990

This electrified Panda, which takes the name of Panda Hybrid, is not really distinguished from a thermal Panda. It is simply recognizable by the “hybrid” logo which is affixed to its tailgate.

It is available with the “Easy” mid-range finish, which includes body-colored mirrors and door handles, electric front windows, manual air conditioning and a digital radio with USB port and 2 speakers.

On the price side, the car is displayed from € 12,990.
