Stellantis has approved that new versions of SUVs and crossovers of the Jeep and Fiat models be produced in the former FCA factory in the Polish city of Pacific.
Production of the small Jeep SUV will begin in November 2022, and Fiat’s small crossover in April 2023, according to Stellantis’ documents, which were inspected by specialized media.
The third model for Alfa Romeo has not yet been approved, and it is not yet known why. All three models will use the former PSA compact modular platform, already used by the Peugeot 208 and 2008, the Opel Corsa and Mokka, the Citroen C4 and the DS3 Crossback. The new Jeep, Fiat and Alfa Romeo models will use engines and transmissions from the PSA group.
The factory in Poland plans an annual maximum production of 300,000 cars, of which 130,000 will be Fiat crossover units. It is a five-door model based on the Centoventi concept, which was shown at the Geneva Motor Show in 2019.
Jeep will make its smallest model in Poland, which will be positioned below the Renegade, and it is also planned to produce 130,000 units a year. Alfin’s small SUV called Brennero is planned in 60,000 copies a year.
