The masterpieces of Azerbaijani classical music at the Uzair Hajibeyili International Music Festival September 18-26

The annual Uzeir Hajibeyli International Music Festival will be held this year in Baku from September 18 to 26, 2022. The festival is a celebration of national music and the artistic genius of Uzeir Hajibeyli.

Hajibeyli is the Azerbaijani composer who has made countless contributions to the world music heritage. He is the author of the first opera in the Islamic world (“Lily and Majnon”), composed the national anthem of Azerbaijan and created several masterpieces, which are loved by thousands of people. In his honor, every year September 18 is celebrated as his music day, with the celebrations continuing at the annual festival.
