A seven-month-old baby named Mohammad Adil died after a litchi plant stuck in his throat in Phatikchari.
The incident took place at the house of Ramzan Ali Sikda of Gopalghata area of Lelang Union of the upazila on Tuesday (May 30) afternoon. The child Mohammad Adil is the son of Moin Sikdar of that area.
Confirming the matter, local UP member Iftehar Uddin Murad said, “On Tuesday afternoon, the child was taken to Nazirhat Care Point Hospital when a litchi beach was stuck in his throat at Maiz Para, the house of his maternal grandfather, Shahnagar village. The doctor on duty there declared Adil dead.
