Farmers gave up the protest – Minister announced a solution!

The protest that the farmers, due to the shortage and high prices of nitrogen fertilizers, planned for Thursday, November 25th. – it was postponed. After the promise of the Ministry of Agriculture to provide the necessary resources, the farmers gave up taking to the streets.

The President of the Steering Board of the Independent Association of Farmers of Serbia (NAPS), Ivan Vuckovic, told Beta that after the announcement of the protest two days ago, they were invited to the Ministry of Agriculture, where they were promised help in providing fertilizer.

“We did not want to believe in the promise, so we invited the Minister of Agriculture Branislav Nedimović to come to Požarevac and tell the farmers the promise that mineral fertilizer will be provided and that as much as possible affect the price“, Said Vuckovic.
