Suara.com – For the sake of the success of the Farmer Card Program and the allocation of fertilizers, 151,348 farmers in Wonogiri Regency, Central Java, who already have the Tani Card, receive subsidized fertilizer allocation. To obtain subsidized fertilizers, Wonogiri made a policy in allocating fertilizers, which they must be registered in the Indonesian Food Management Information System (SIMPI).
According to the Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL), President Joko Widodo once asked him not to play games in managing the agricultural sector. According to him, one of the crucial things in the agricultural line is fertilizer.
“We must finish this fertilizer properly. Fertilizer is not new to us. In the current condition, the issue of fertilizer must be our serious concern, “he said, Jakarta, Friday (15/1/2021).
Syahrul said that agriculture is a sector that is able to survive in the midst of extraordinary situations such as the current Covid-19 pandemic. When other sectors were corrected, agriculture actually grew by 16.4 percent.

“Agriculture is determined by good varieties, the right fertilizer and the right cultivation,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Director General for Infrastructure and Facilities (PSP) of the Ministry of Agriculture, Sarwo Edhy, added that the e-RDKK data is also a reference for the distribution of farmer cards which will be used to pay for subsidized fertilizers. Through this program, farmers pay subsidized fertilizers through banks, according to the quota and price of subsidized fertilizers.
“Distributors and kiosks are the key to success in distributing subsidized fertilizers so that they can reach the rightful farmers according to the existing mechanism, namely through e-RDKK,” he explained.
Sarwo added that the Tani Card contains a quota that suits the farmers’ needs. The amount of this quota depends on the area of land each farmer has.
“Tani Cards cannot be cashed and can only be used to exchange fertilizers,” he added.

Farmers who are going to buy subsidized fertilizers only need to bring the Tani Card to the appointed dealer or retailer, then the Tani Card is swiped on the EDC machine at the kiosk to purchase subsidized fertilizers as needed.
According to Sarwo, the infrastructure in each region for readiness to redeem subsidized fertilizers with farmer cards is very diverse. So for those who are not ready, they can show their KTP, which will then be inputted into the verification and validation system as the basis for paying for fertilizer subsidies.
“The Tani Card can be used to buy all kinds of subsidized fertilizers according to farmers’ needs,” added Sarwo.
Head of the Agriculture and Food Service Office of the Wonogiri Food Industry, Safuan, claims that until the end of 2020, the use of farmer cards to buy subsidized fertilizer has reached 80 percent. This figure has increased significantly, considering that in August 2020 the level of farming card usage was still at 40.54 percent.
“At that time, there were as many as 74,641 farmers who used the Farmer’s Card, and there were 151,348 farmers who had received a Farming Card from BRI Bank up to the same month,” he said.
He believes that the level of farmer card use during 2021 will increase again, given the regulation has been implemented.
For farmers who have not registered with SIMPI, Safuan asked them to take care of data collection, so that they can get an allocation of subsidized fertilizers in 2022.
“In accordance with the provisions, starting January 2021, subsidized fertilizer redemption is required to use the Farmer Card. Only farmers who have registered with SIMPI can get a Farmer Card which functions to take care of the subsidized fertilizer redemption, “he added.
According to Safuan, until the end of 2020 there were 176,121 farmers registered with SIMPI, data from BRI Wonogiri. The data entry process to SIMPI has been implemented since 2017. During that time, his party has always provided socialization.
Regarding farmers who have not registered with SIMPI, Safuan said there is a process of improving data every month. For farmers whose data is inputted this year, they will only receive an allocation next year.
“For farmers who are not registered until November 28, 2020, they cannot receive subsidized fertilizer allocation in 2021. This is because the allocation of fertilizers is based on a definitive plan for group needs or RDKK. Farmers who can propose their needs are those already registered with SIMPI, ”he explained.
