Family doctors will receive bonuses for vaccinating patients against coronavirus

In the period from July 1 to September 30, the Health Insurance Fund will make additional payments to doctors who vaccinate the population against COVID-19 in addition to the usual fees for services, writes rus.err.ee.

Family doctors, nurses and specialist doctors will receive € 50 for every 20 vaccinations between 1 July and 30 September, in addition to the usual fee for this service. In addition, if 80% vaccination coverage is achieved in the family doctor’s patient list, then such a doctor will be paid an additional 500 euros.

For family doctors in Ida-Viru County, it will be enough to receive an additional payment of 500 euros if 60% of the patients on their list are vaccinated, and if the coverage is 70%, then the family doctor will already receive 1000 euros.

The staff of institutions providing specialized medical care who vaccinate on buses and other mobile vaccination rooms will additionally receive up to 50 euros per day per person and 0.3 euros per kilometer of the mobile point.
