“It’s the same with DAK, due to repeated reviews according to the DAK disbursement system (causing) the DAK we hope can encourage the APBD to have very minimal involvement in supporting our APBD,” Syarif continued.
Syarif added that various ways have been taken to maintain the sustainability of the APBD. This is done by encouraging development, especially physical ones, so that there is no increase in the unemployment rate (PHK). Furthermore, optimizing the taxes obtained by the Jambi City Government.
“We are also forced to impose taxes on restaurants that provide takeaway facilities which so far have not been (taxed). We ask that if we cannot increase our transfer funds, keep them the same as the previous year, don’t reduce the funds that have been reduced every year again,” he added.

He explained that for Badung, which relies on the tourism sector, the Covid-19 pandemic has had a full social and economic impact. For example, there are layoffs and an increase in poverty rates.
