Jablonec nad Nisou – Jablonec football player Tomáš Hübschman does not end his career even at the age of 39. The former Czech representative with the North Bohemian club at the start of the summer training extended the contract for another year until June 30, 2022. The Jablonec people informed about it on the social network twitter.

Hübschman is currently the second oldest player in the Czech league after the legend of the Bohemians 1905, Josef Jindřišek, who was 40 years old in February. Last year, the older goalkeeper Jaroslav Drobný was still older, but he ended up in České Budějovice after the season.

Hübschman has 291 matches and four goals scored in the Czech league. He also worked in Prague’s Sparta and from 2004 to 2014 in Shakhtar Donetsk, with which he won the UEFA Cup. He scored 58 starts and one goal for the Czech national team and in 2004 he won bronze with it at the European Championships. Hübschman has been in Jablonec since 2014, before that he also worked in the north of Bohemia in the 2000/01 season.

Experienced left defender or midfielder Jakub Podaný will not continue in Jablonec. The 34-year-old universal player did not belong to the basic line-up last season. The introductory training included Montenegrin winger Vladimir Jovovic, who has a contract until the end of June. This is his future, he has recently been interested in competition.

New reinforcements Tomáš Malínský and Antonín Vaníček, defender Michal Surzyn and defender Jaroslav Zelený, who were acquired by the Jablonec team from Prague’s Slavia in exchange for the transfer of forward Ivan Schranz to Eden, joined the preparations. Another offensive player, Tomáš Čvančara, returned from visiting in Opava.

The Jablonec team unexpectedly took third place in the last league year and in the summer training they will adjust the form for the qualification of the European League.
