Exim Bank has completed the sale of shares of two independent directors

Staff Reporter: Khandaker Mohammad Saiful Alam and Ranjan Chowdhury, two independent directors of Export-Import (Exim) Bank of Bangladesh Limited, have sold their shares.

According to the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), two separate directors of Exim Bank, Khandaker Mohammad Saiful Alam and Ranjan Chowdhury, owned 8,8,839 and 9,985 shares, respectively. Of these, they have sold three lakh 8 thousand 739 and four lakh 975 shares at the current market price respectively.

According to the latest DSE data, out of the total shares, entrepreneurs / managers have 38.6 per cent, institutional 26.60 per cent, foreign investors 1.37 per cent and general investors 33.28 per cent.

The banking company last reviewed its financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2020 and paid a cash dividend of 7.5 per cent and a bonus of Rs 2.5 per cent to investors. At that time, the earnings per share (EPS) was one 99 paise and the net asset value per share stood at 21 taka 7 paise.
