In the frame Kragujevac Cultural Summer, u gallery of the Kragujevac Youth Center, 2.avgusta u 19h, the fifth solo exhibition of concert photographs by the author will be opened Marina Pesic “4 strings”. The organizer of the exhibition is Dom omladine Kragujevac.
– After the exhibition dedicated to the ladies on the stage, the exhibition “Four Strings” represents another original step of Pesic in the field of stage photography. Often neglected in relation to singers, guitarists, and even drummers, with whom they build a rhythm section, in many groups they are the bassists of the soul, the support and the basis for the whole band to sound right. They can be especially interesting visually, primarily because of the different facial expressions, different in relation to the enthusiasm of the guitarist during the solo, or the euphoria of the singer while the fans follow him “for words” for hours. Marina Pešić has been recording this for years, and now you have her view of the bass. Milan Ćunković
– When we see Marina taking photos from the stage, we know two things. First, that her infectious smile and optimism will pass on to us and that we will be better than we are. Secondly, that the photos will be extraordinarily good. Marina spreads good energy around her and Riblja Čorba adores her. Bora Djordjevic
– Rock photographers are a rare species. It is a difficult and demanding job. We should please and not resent musicians, concert organizers, technicians… I haven’t seen a person who does his job with so much dedication and love for a long time. I follow Marina’s work with pleasure, in which I see daily progress. He is a craftsman and a professional by example. She is imperceptible on or in front of the stage, but that is why she is very loud when she contributes to the music business with her sharp eye and sense of the right moment. Marina is a miracle!
