MOVING to the year 2021, of course each of us dreams of the best for each other’s lives.
For the actor, Keith Foo, he also keeps his dreams for life and what is always a priority is his son.
After a divorce from his ex-wife, Kim Raymond in December 2019, Keith’s life began to change when he had to get used to holding the status of a single father.
However, that did not cause him and his ex-wife to ignore the light of their eyes, Skylar Raymond Food and did not want the divorce to affect their daughter’s life.
“Children are my priority and strength in continuing life. Despite facing divorce, I am grateful to be surrounded by those who always strengthen me or in other words, become my support system,” he said.
Never shy with a smile, Keith did not reject the feeling of loneliness sometimes squeezing himself thus forcing him to find a way out so as not to face depression.
“The feeling of loneliness does exist. Well, if our family used to live in the same house. When we get divorced, the feeling like ‘privilege’ is withdrawn and can not be felt as before.
“However, I always remind myself that if depression has many negative effects that will happen and what will happen to my child?
“So, I strengthened myself to change and change my lifestyle, because that is why I spend a lot of time by participating in charity work with the St John Ambulance Negeri Sembilan association,” he said.
Seeing his intimacy with his ex-wife, Keith is often faced with the question of whether they will be reunited as husband and wife.
“We are comfortable with the current situation. Some people ask why they split up when we are seen as a couple who do not have any problems.
“Sometimes the separation happens for the common good. Maybe if we continue the marriage, there will be a bad effect on the children,” he said.
To this day, the 38-year-old actor is still comfortable with his life without a replacement to his ex-wife.
“So far there is no replacement. My ex-wife already has someone and I always support her. I said, if she wants to go out or whatever, I can help take care of the children,” he said.
Sharing about his career development during the Movement Control Order (PKP) period last year and now re-enforced, Keith is thankful that the door to his livelihood is still open.
“Since PKP, job offers are still available only when we can not go anywhere, I am just like other people can not continue acting work.
“If I am not busy with filming, I am busy with charity activities with St John Ambulance Negeri Sembilan which I participated in for the past two years. So far, we have done many charity activities including helping flood victims, blood donations and activities during Ramadan last year,” he said.
Despite a tiring task, Keith admits to becoming ‘addicted’.
“It’s tiring, but once I started, I became addicted to continue. What is important is to always strengthen the mind to continue to extend help to those in need,” he said.
Recently, Keith is still filming a 22-episode drama series entitled Who Will Die This Ramadan.
In addition, she is also the current ambassador for the Crystal C White brand alongside actress, Natasha Hudson who acts as the face for the brand.
