European record by Tzouni and Giakoumaki in the premiere of the Panhellenic OPAP 2021 championship

Two European records in F64 javelin throwing and F56 discus throwing, as well as nine national ones, were set at the premiere of the Panhellenic Track and Field Championship OPAP 2021 hosted at the Kaftanzogleio Stadium in Thessaloniki with the participation of 440 athletes from 49 clubs.

The 2021 European champion, Konstantinos Tzounis (LSO Makedonas), improved his own European record in the F56 discus throw by three centimeters. His best shot was measured at 42.74m.
