The national team needed to win to guarantee today the qualification for the round of 16 of Euro2020. But nothing is lost.

The Portuguese football team lost 4-2 to hosts Germany, in the second round match of Group F of Euro2020 football, at the Allianz Arena, in Munich.

Cristiano Ronaldo advanced the formation of the ‘quinas’, in the 15th minute, but the ‘mannschaft’ turned the result around, thanks to two own goals, the first by Rúben Dias, at 35, and the second by Raphaël Guerreiro, at 39.

In the second half, came the second Portuguese goal thanks to Diogo Jota, in the 67th minute. However, Germany also scored: Gosens at 60 and Havertz at 51 minutes.

The Portuguese team needed to win today to guarantee qualification for the round of 16 of Euro2020, and, when defeated, ‘falls’ from first to third place in the group, behind France and Germany.
