The European Commission publishes a list of durable consumer goods recently recalled in the EU, including automotive recalls, every week. The types involved in each recall, the problematic production period, and a schematic description of the defect can be found in the images below (for illustration only). The following, of course, are only a schematic description of the nature of the problems; if you suspect that your car (engine, tractor, bus…) is involved, be sure to contact your dealer, in which case he is the source of your knowledge.

European recalls 2020. Week 43

Citroen C4
Date of manufacture of the vehicles concerned by the recall: 04/10/2020 – 2021.04.
The wheel hub is not properly secured to the rear axle, so the wheel may become detached, making the vehicle unsteerable.

Ducati Monster 821 / 1200 / 1200S / 1200R
Date of manufacture of the vehicles concerned by the recall: 2014-2021. model year
The rear brake line can lose heat due to heat, which can reduce the braking effect.

Mercedes-Benz Actros / Arocs
Date of manufacture of the vehicles concerned by the recall: 08/04/2021.
Cracks in a forged component of the steering gear can spread further under dynamic load, and eventually the part can break, causing the vehicle to become immediately unsteerable.

Ducati Hypermotard 950 SP
Date of manufacture of the vehicles concerned by the recall: model year 2019
Improper welding can break the side support. In this case, the motorcycle will tip over, which could result in injury.

This problem is now with the Dacias 5

Dacia Logan
Date of manufacture of the vehicles concerned by the recall: 05.03.2021.
A software update failure can cause the data communication module to restart unexpectedly, resulting in a failure. In this case, the eCall emergency system becomes inoperable.
