On January 11, the Zvornik hydroelectric power plant produced 2.84 million kilowatt-hours and set a new daily record when it comes to electricity production, all thanks to revitalized generators. The new record is about 5,000 kilowatt-hours higher than the previous one, which was set on January 3.
PThe increase in the production of green energy and better utilization of the inflow on the Drina was made possible by the investment of EPS, which completely renewed all four units with an increase in power and extended working life, according to this company.
The revitalization of four units started in 2016 and was completed at the beginning of 2020. Thanks to the modernization, the power of the units increased by a total of 30 megawatts, and the value of the investment amounted to 70 million euros, of which 65.5 million euros came from Ka-EF-Ve Bank.
After the renovation, the total installed power of the unit is 125.6 megawatts, which is 30% more than the power before the revitalization.
