Suara.com – The Chairperson of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), Arsjad Rasjid, asked the government to create a conducive business climate for entrepreneurs, especially the next 2 years will be a political year where there will usually be many dynamics that will emerge.
“The business world with the government must integrate harmoniously to create a conducive business climate in order to improve the national economy,” said Arsjad at the Kadin Special National Deliberation, in Tangerang, Thursday (23/6/2022).
According to him, Kadin Indonesia is the government’s strategic partner in empowering the potential of the business world in all regions of Indonesia and encouraging national and regional economic development to realize a Golden Indonesia in 2045.
“Where Indonesia can become the country with the 5th largest economic power in the world. Therefore, the refinement of the AD/ART (Statutes of Association/Budgets) will strengthen the position of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry as the only parent organization of the business world in Indonesia that was born from the law,” he said.
According to him, the absence of revision of AD/ART for 12 years makes AD/ART have to be adapted to changing times, especially in the fields of information technology and the economy as well as the current situation Indonesia is facing.
Moreover, there are challenges such as the Ukraine-Russia geopolitical conflict, food crisis and rising inflation that can trigger political and social crises.
Although the challenges facing the world, including Indonesia, are quite complex, Indonesia’s economy has grown by 5.01 percent (yoy). Therefore, Arsjad requested that the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry should
unite and perfect the AD/ART in order to strengthen the internal organization of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
“So that Kadin is able to face challenges while taking advantage of opportunities in its role as an umbrella for a resilient, independent and professional business organization as well as being an adaptive and responsive government partner in carrying out its vision, mission and programs,” said Arsjad.
Arsjad also added that the perfect AD/ART also provides a function of balancing roles and responsibilities between institutional components within the Kadin organization that is one, inclusive and collaborative, as well as reducing the possibility of multi-interpretation of differences of opinion which will become a negative factor for the dynamics of Kadin’s organization.
Not only that, the 2024 election is one factor in the need for a strong and perfect AD/ART. This is because one of the AD/ART discussions is about the plans and views of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the future.
“To face the 2024 election, we carry the slogan “Competing to Compete” which is based on the value of mutual cooperation, to improve the welfare of the people through good and sustainable policies which make investment easier, create new entrepreneurs who can open new jobs so that can reduce poverty in Indonesia,” said Arsjad.
