jpnn.comMAKASSAR – Clashes between groups of students from the Faculty of Sharia and Law (FSH) and the Faculty of Science and Technology (Sainstek) Alauddin State Islamic University (UIN) Makassar, Tuesday (29/3) afternoon resulted in damage to a number of campus facilities.

The window and door glass as well as the FSH signage were broken. In addition, the nameplate of the Dharma Wanita Persatuan and parked motorbikes became the targets of student tantrums.

Not only that, Deputy Dean I for Academic Affairs FSH Dr Rahmatia became a victim of the clashes.

“When he (Dr Rahmatia, ed) wanted to break up, he was suddenly hit by stones. He was even beaten by students,” said Nur Ikhsan, a child from Wadek 1 to, Wednesday (30/3).

As a result of the incident, Dr Rahmatia suffered injuries to the left ear. Until now he was still in shock from the trauma.

“There is a tear in the left ear, it was stitched last night at the hospital,” he added.

Three students were injured in the incident.

“There are also students from two faculties who were injured as a result of being hit by rocks,” he explained.

One of the deans at UIN Alauddin Makassar became a victim of clashes between engineering and law students.
