When the Polish company Porcelana Krzysztof announced at the beginning of the year that it was closing its factory and being forced to make mass layoffs, this sad news affected many and not only Poles.

As reported by the server Ding.pl, some loyal customers still believed that the factory would eventually avoid its end and held out hope that it would continue production. But it didn’t happen like that.

The company was founded by Carl Krister in 1831, and it is the Krister brand that can speak more to many people outside of Poland. In the 19th century, it became the absolute leader among porcelain manufacturers on the European market.

Why is the company going out of business? According to the Polish media, it could not handle the increase in gas prices.

Before the final closure of the famous porcelain factory, the company wants to get rid of all the goods left in the warehouse. A special sale has started.

Porcelain collectors now flock to the town of Walbrzych, where the factory is located, to buy unique pieces at a fraction of the original price.
