DAPURPACU – Budi Luhur University (UBL) conducted tests for their newest ‘pure’ electric motorbike prototype, namely the Sport Electric Vehicle 01 (BL-SEV01).
The first testing of the performance of the 96 volt BLDC electric motor was held at the Sentul International Circuit, Bogor, West Java, last Thursday (11/2).
Not only performance, UBL alumnus, Galih Aji Prakoso, also managed it to test and find out how far the BL-SEV01’s handling performance was when it ‘encountered’ the asphalt surface.
Galih’s selection as a rider tester is also expected to maximize the performance of the motorbike’s performance and provide input to Budi Luhur University so that it is better developed in the future.
“This is the first test of the BL-SEV01 electric motorbike on the Sentul Circuit track by cooperating with a professional racer as a rider tester,” said the Head of the UBL Electric Vehicle Study Center Team, Sujono.
Sujono in his official broadcast hopes Galih can provide meaningful input on his performance and handling, for the development of Budi Luhur University’s work.
“After getting input and performance data after this initial trial, we just re-evaluate the BL-SEV01 and refine it again in the Laboratory of the Center for Electric Vehicle Studies, Budi Luhur University,” he added.
For information, with the electric motor configuration, the power delivered reaches 16 kW or the equivalent of 21 hp, with the support of a 48 Ah battery and a 200 ampere controller.
BL-SEV01 specifications are supported by a BLDC 96 Volt electric motor with a power of up to 16 kW, supported by a 48Ah battery and a 96 Volt 200 Ampere controller.
It takes about 4 hours for the battery to be fully charged again. The mechanical development of the BL-SEV01 is fully carried out by Budi Luhur University.
The head of the Budi Luhur Cakti Education Foundation (BPH), Kasih Hanggoro, also witnessed the first test. He admitted that he was happy with the trials carried out by the UBL community in the development of electric motorcycle technology in Indonesia.
He also promised to continue to provide support and provide space for the entire Budi Luhur University community in developing science.
“This first test is quite satisfying and we will test the BL-SEV01 electric motor to the maximum on the racing track,” he added.
On the other hand, UBL Chancellor, Dr. Ir. Wendi Usino, M.Sc., MM said he was proud of the test results. According to him, this is a real step for the world of Indonesian education in the development of science.
