I will rejoice in the Pirates debacle. And so far, I’m not going to be bothered by the idea that they may have two ministries staffed by “experts” on shared scooters, along with economists who confuse VAT and GDP.
I will rejoice that voters have expelled the Communist Party from the Chamber of Deputies thirty-two years after November 1989. And I will not be bothered by the fact that there are still enough communists in the House and the communist voters still have their representation in it.
I will be happy that Fízlov’s crooked Přísaha gained just under five percent and Babiš thus lost his natural coalition partner. I will not be annoyed by the idea of the millions of public money that the combine harvester will collect for the election result and, thanks to them, further harm.
I will rejoice at the end of the dense two Maláčová / Stropnický. And for now, I don’t care if the first of them ends up as ambassador to Venezuela, or if Olga Richterová, a flower watering expert, will join the Ministry of Social Affairs (see point one).
I am glad that Minister Schiller will leave her service apartment in Paris and stop increasing the state debt above numbers that even she cannot write. And for the time being, I refuse to bother with the nonsense of the illusion that with the arrival of Petr Fiala, inflation will fall to two percent and energy prices will fall by half.
I am glad that even in the ranks of the “pro-Brussels” future government coalition, there are realists such as the economist Jan Skopeček. And I will not worry for the time being that it will be a lonely island in the uncritical Euromor.
Similarly, I am glad that the worst Minister of Health in history, Adam Vojtěch, is ending, who refuses to lift even the most absurd covid restrictions and who has allowed his friends’ friends to get rich in the pandemic. Even though I haven’t heard much realistic about the covid’s solution or from the opposition.
I will be glad that the President has not yet commissioned the first attempt to form the government of Andrej Babiš. At the same time, I will forget that he has not yet named him so that the head of YES can become historically impossible as soon as possible.
But for more than four days, no one really wants me to.
