The State Duma is discussing the introduction of compulsory licensing of educational platform courses. About this deputy of the lower house of parliament Alexander Khinshtein wrote in your telegram channel. It is planned to involve industry universities in this process.

“The concept provides that the higher school will participate in the analysis of courses through Rosobrnadzor and Rosakkreditatsiya,” Khinshtein said.

According to Khinshtein, the initiative will not affect trainings and webinars.

“To put it simply, if you teach your social media followers how to plant seedlings, you won’t need certification. But if this is CVE (additional vocational education), as a result of which a diploma is issued, then the materials must undergo appropriate accreditation, as in offline education,” the deputy explained.

At the moment, only the educational platforms themselves are subject to licensing, and not the courses they teach. Online platforms that teach educational courses receive a license for their activities in the regional ministries of education and science.
