When asked why Oedipus was performed at the JDP theater, director Vito Taufer answers: I think that we are now in a moment when we do not know whether irrationality will win or common sense. It is a story about the disappearance of democracy. About the attempt of a ruler to fix the country, to find the reason for the decay and decay. And it fails gloriously. For a long, long time. The struggle between rational and irrational principles.
